a16z has finished selling MKR - DAI depeg next?

Some of you have may have heard / seen the news that a16z had been offloading millions of dollars of MKR tokens despite having bought way back in 2018 and holding through the 2021 rally.

Well, a16z sold its last batch of MKR on Monday, coincidentally when it hit its local top due to the buyback mechanism (a mechanism which Uniswap voted against because of regulatory concerns).

There's been speculation that something is going to happen to the real world assets backing MakerDAO's DAI. That's because it's technically illegal to offer yield on securities to non-KYC entities.

Stablecoins in general have been looking super unstable over the last 48 hours.
