Well, there's honestly not much surprising here. As we all know, tons of PEPE tokens have disappeared from the multi-sig wallet. The amount of tokens is the only thing that was in dispute. In a statement put out Twitter the PEPE team(or what is left of it) have stated that $16 trillion PEPE tokens were "stolen" by former team members. The stolen value amounts are $15 Million dollars USD.

Perhaps most importantly, the statement says that since inception, the PEPE project has been plagued by strife from the greed and ego of team members, who made progress with the project difficult when they own vices weren't satisfied.

It's quite funny not that the remaining team members expect us to believe that PEPE is now a "clean" and legitimate project when everyone knows that it started off as a cash grab and the project is now "baggage-free with clear roads ahead". I am guessing this is just another lesson in chasing sh*tcoins. You either die(go broke) chasing memecoins or give long enough to become a BTC/ETH maxi.
