AMA with Cointelegraph's Director of Research, Dr. Demelza Hays

Demelza has been in crypto 8-15 hours a day since 2013. She operated the first Bitcoin ATM in Liechtenstein in 2016 and she launched one of the first regulated alternative investment funds invested in cryptocurrency with Bank Frick in 2018. She is currently the Director of Research at Cointelegraph, which is the largest crypto media company measured by views (17 million per month). Over the last eight years, she has authored over 30 analytical reports on digital assets and managed two regulated cryptocurrency funds. Demelza is an advisor to the Swiss family office Zeltner&Co’s (family office of former UBS president, Jürg Zeltner) and manages their actively managed cryptocurrency certificate. Formerly, she was a Forbes 30 Under 30 and U.S. Department of State Fulbright Scholar. In 2021, Demelza completed her Ph.D. in Business Economics at the University of Liechtenstein under the guidance of her supervisor, Dr. Andrei Kirilenko, who was the former chief economist of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission under Gary Gensler. Inspired by her work in wealth management, her dissertation explored the role of cryptocurrency within a diversified portfolio.
