I recently made a post to try to explain how Celsius wasn’t a obvious scam, how the interest rates were similar to everyone else’s, and asking people to be kind, and not assholes, and asking people their story.

I got quite a few comments agreeing with me, and being sensible, and using logic.

I also got a decent amount of “not your keys not your coins” and a shockingly large amount of people blaming me, saying that they knew it was a scam (hindsight is 20/20), and one person saying I gave my crypto to some stranger on the internet, and says I shouldn’t trust anyone I don’t know. Which is strange since I’m guessing they have a bank account, and don’t personally know JP Morgan, or Wells Fargo, etc.

Whenever someone shares a post about being scammed, or hacked, etc, I see a shockingly large amount of people taunting them, and making fun of them; and of course the usual “not your keys not your coins”. This comes of insanely toxic, and frankly isn’t at all helpful. If anything it drives people away from crypto. Have some empathy ffs. Not everyone knows a ton about crypto, and some newbies get scammed. Be human, don’t be a dick. I’m likely gonna get downvoted to hell, but I don’t care; someone needs to say this.
