Hot take from an ex-lurker here, I genuinely think normie VPNs like NordVPN will be a thing of the past in the next 5ish years thanks to blockchain, here’s why.

If you’re remotely concerned with your own privacy from a moral or practical standpoint, you should be using a vpn for at least some of your internet traffic, the problem is most of the big players are owned by just 3 companies under different brand names, a bit like how Nestle give you an illusion of choice while actually owning fucking everything lol.

Another reason why boomer VPNs are utter trash is that they are powered by data centers, which SUCKS when accessing content online as you’ll be 1) eventually or instantly blocked by the site you’re trying to get into as its obvious you’re using a VPN and 2) Captcha bombed.

Blockchain VPNs often serve you residential IP addresses from home users which are WAY WAY better and don’t set off alarm bells to websites. With high-speed home internet very common now, this is a clearly superior and fairer solution. How can decentralized solutions be stopped when new servers just keep cropping up?
