A moderator of the popular trading subreddit WallStreetBets has dumped a large portion of the WSB Coin (WSB), a token project that claims to be the official memecoin of Wall Street Bets. WSB was launched on May 2 by people involved in moderating the WallStreetBets Reddit forum. The key figure seems to be ZJZ.ETH. He dumped $635K (334) ETH. We know this already. What is new? Well, the different moderators involved in the project are fighting. Its WBSMod vs. OIP (is unpopular) and ZJZ. All were active moderators as far as I understand and involved in the WSB cryptocurrency project. WSBMod doxxed OIP and ZJZ and said he would go to the authorities and file charges against them. In response, ZJZ is now saying that he dumped the tokens because WSBMod was giving himself secret airdrops. A salient detail is that ZJZ reached out to ZachXBT before via Twitter in November 2022. Back then, he said that they should have been greedy amoral bastards. So, whose side are we on in this great drama? All this drama makes me appreciate the mods of r/cryptocurrency more. If we have an issue -like a moderator trading very actively- they typically handle it in a very mature way. [link][comments] |
