Looks like Bitcoin ordinals hype has died in just few weeks (most BRC-20 tokens are down 90%+). Good thing for Bitcoin transaction fees, bad thing for people that invested into Bitcoin ordinals so far.

This was a pretty short lived hype, and some at the time were talking how BRC-20 tokens will be like ERC-20 tokens. But looking at it few months later, it looks like hype has completely almost died out.

Top and original BRC-20 token which is ORDI is still not doing badly since it's ''only'' 71% down from its highs few months ago (from $21 to $4.5 now), but most of the others are down pretty badly. At the height of ordinals hype 3 months ago, Pepe was flying, so the second most popular BRC-20 token was called Pepe. That token is down 96% since then. Went from $0.6 to $0.02

A lot of people FOMOed into them in May and completely congested Bitcoin network so fees were quite high, and people that FOMOed then are down pretty badly so far. But who knows, when the next bull-run comes there is a pretty good possibility hype for these will get up again. Even the original website for BRC 20 doesn't work properly, at least right now on my end it won't load the market cap chart, so had to look it up on coingecko instead.
