Most internet users are still very much against crypto and if you only stay in your bubble you may have a wrong impression

When spending a lot of time in subs like these you may start to believe that crypto is the end all, be all. Crypto will solve all problems. World hunger? Shit. Move those fries to the blockchain and we are golden.

If you move just outside this bubble the opposite is true. There are so many hit pieces, negative opinions and yes, also valid criticism.

The overwhelming response to crypto there is thats its just a ponzi scheme and a scam. Just look at the sentiment in the gaming industry, an industry many are close to, the sentiment towards games with crypto involved is that they are cash grabs and not worth your time. Thats among people who are also pretty likely to adopt crypto the first. Now take one step further: consider the normal folks. The office people, the construction guys: what do you think theyll think about crypto?

Theres a lot of optimism in these threads and in many cases i think we may be too optimistic. Proper adoption wil take a long time and even then most wont understand or dont care about the principles we hold dear. Decentralisation? Be your own bank? Many wont care. Many dont even see the problems with the current system. They are just living their lives. People in the system dont want that system to break. Because after everything it gives them structure and is familiar, it provides them with security.

Spending time in your own bubble is great. Many likeminded people that are enthusiastic about the same things. But its important to also see the other side. Not to become a zealot and spread the word or try to convince others that crypto has the moral high ground but to understand, maybe educate and thats it. See the other guys point of view. It will help all of us in understanding how to move this forward.
