Need Some advice. My Father might be getting scammed

My Dad saw a facebook ad for capitalindexdotio. He put 500 in and they told him he earned like 60 in a few days. They say they use AI to buy and sell crypto using Lite as the coin of choice for now. They have a group of people passing him around to different departments.

I walked in on him on the phone with someone and he was about to transfer 15k. My Dad had no idea what he was doing and i watched for a while. I then noticed the fella on the phone could see everything my dad was doing on his mac. he gave remote access to their "finance guy" who wanted my dad to send 15k(my dads choice for the amount) to a coin address i think and not an account. I believe they got him to make the new address but they had seen it as they guided him into making it. Not just this they have seen all his bank account details, he logged in(password manager for safari). Was i right to be worried and put a stop to it? Is it real?
