This is the time to evaluate what you own.

The SEC views crypto as a cartel for illegal activity not a bunch of crypto bros trying to reinvent the finance wheel. Thats something everyone needs to understand. Their perspective.

There is no way by December that the current 16,000+ existing cryptos are still around. I would be surprised if half of them are still trading above a fraction of a cent. We don't know what the SEC wants with the individual securities like MATIC, Solana and Cardano. I think we will find out soon enough. Individual projects might start getting sued for improper financial disclosures. I think we'll also see alot of arrests or heavy fines for shady activity, mismanagement of funds by most projects. They may have their own requirements to be listed on "exchanges" and certain disclosures to customers that are not being made or ignored. A simple white paper is not enough. Projects should have standard financial disclosures same way we have quarterly or annual earnings announcements.

The SEC requires that companies report their earnings and file annual reports for shareholders(10-k, 10-Q, 8-k etc.). I don't think any project out there has ever filed anything with the SEC for shareholders other that a whitepaper on their website. Exchanges are not a regulatory body and likely don't examine projects closely before listing to trade for the public.

For context the NASDAQ is a publicly traded exchange, they report earnings. Apple trades on the NASDAQ, they also report earnings.

Coinbase($COIN) is a publicly traded exchange, they report earnings. No crypto company on coinbase ever reports earnings, publicly.

This is the time to re-evaluate what you own and understand why you own it. I think we are about to get a wash out.

I think too many scammers and rug pulls have happened and this needs to stop. Having a stock IPO listed on a exchange has high standards and minimal requirements. Listing a project (ICO - Initial Coin Offering) on any exchange should have the same high standard.
