To crypto research lovers out there, what should new altcoins learn from big name altcoins to help them be more popular?

I was hoping to take this opportunity to bet on new altcoins since the market's a bit wild right now. It's easier buying and hodling the hits. Standard is BTC/ETH, and other popular altcoins like ALGO, ADA, LTC and the like. But when I look at new altcoins, I can't for the life of me identify where to start LMAO I read that Panther focuses on privacy/security, which is a good thing to me. I'm also checking out Harmony and Pancake and even Aave. I want to learn more about new altcoins tho because I know we might be overlooking some of them. Not sure what they're doing wrong that's not giving them more attention though? How do you spot altcoins with potential? To those who were with us since the old days, what things should new altcoins do to get them more attention compared to big name altcoins?
