Why can't we just succeed slightly?

As the title reads - Why can't the people that put in their hard earned money, get at least something back from Crypto/coin investments?

Is it really too much to ask for?

Over the years, I've come to realise that crypto investments are genuinlely just not for anyone with any money.

I've invested a fair share over the past few years, but I've gained nothing, actually lost money.

If I leave my money, why can't it just grow? Give me fucking 1% per month if anything. The volatility is actually just pure socialist bullshit. I feel foolish that I took this whole crypto thing with any slight possible seriousness at all. I'm 100% certain that this has to be the general consensus. There are literally millions of posts in the same realm.

Take these last few days, let's take Solana, for example. Now a lot of people bash Solana for "downtime". Okay? Cool. But then the SEC makes some random decision to label it a security. Again, okay? Why? Does it even fucking matter? Why is the okay? Why does every little thing affect crypto.

The wind blows - Eth goes down. Elon shits his pants on twitter about Doge = cataclysmic investment failure. Someone says some random shit about Crypto = fluctuation. Whales = OWN THE MARKET. Fuck off if you disagree, you're an idiot.

Etc. Etc.

Why are we even doing this? Cause we wanna make some extra money I guess, or we believe in a world with true monetary decentralisation. The latter sounds cool, but will cost you all your money it seems.
