If I mention Crypto to someone, I feel like I'm trying to recruit them into a pyramid scheme or like they think I've joined a cult and I'm just throwing money away

Does anyone else experience this? I have to give like 6 disclaimers when I mention this stuff to people, because in my experience they'll ask questions that indicate they think a cult leader has taken over my bank account or that I'm just throwing money away like a complete and total idiot.
