Why are some meme coins open for discussion and not others?

I completely understand that we don't want this sub turning into a swamp of fly by night BSC spam, so there has to be some standards. There are plenty of subs out there for 5 minute old projects to advertise on. I AGREE. I'm curious though what the criteria is for a token to transition from spam/ junk to something we can talk about here. This is a serious question. For example, SHIB and DOGE are household names and therefore can be openly discussed here. In terms of utility they offer none... and yet there are threads and articles posted daily. There are probably thousands of people who are being suckered in every day and WILL lose money buying these coins right now... because let's face it, this is THE place to go and read about all things crypto... so if I want to get in on the meme coin craze, and those are the two being spoken about here, that's what I should buy... right? There's another token (I shall not name for fear of this thread being closed) which has been taking the internet by storm this past few weeks. In 3 weeks it has grown from 20 to 200 million market cap. The reddit sub has blown up from 500 to 5,000+ and the active wallets have exploded from 8,000 to 30,000. I have seen two big mainstream media articles, and countless big names with 150k+ Twitter followers talking about it these past few days. Daily tading volume has exploded from a few hundred thousand to over $7 million today. A meme coin with memes, and honestly a hilarious sub to follow regardless of the token price. Don't bother searching this sub for posts about it though... It's as if it doesn't exist. It's actually incredible growth considering you can't discuss it on the biggest crypto forum on the internet! How big does something have to be before it is legitimate enough for r/Cc? Are there certain tokens which are taboo for some reason? Perhaps there are others and im just hyper sensitive because this is where my money is. Say what you want about meme coins, but there are plenty of people getting rich.
