Two years ago I wasted an entire evening sorting through my trade history, on multiple exchanges, calculating my gains/losses. It's a total hassle because you need to go find the usd value of each coin at the time of the trade.

Last year I just used one of the many tax tools out there and got a professional tax form prepared in under an hour that I was required to mail to the IRS. Unfortunately there is a cost but I felt much better trading this year without the worry of tracking every trade. Taking the tax stress out of crypto was worth the fee for me.

This year I definitely plan on using the same service and sleeping easy at night.
